thinkers and scientists is to consider the systemic context within which their
different schools of thought emerged, which helps students to integrate
different areas of psychology. This trip
will immerse students in the historical context of psychology through a visit

STUDENT ACADEMICS
Your
final grade for the course will be based equally on all 4 components
below:
1)
Participation & Engagement
This
includes attendance at all group events/meetings and contributing to group
harmony and decision-making.
2)
Site Guide for a day
You
will be responsible to become an “expert” on your assigned site (see table on first
page) before the trip (i.e., find out info beforehand, read articles, contact
the museum staff, and help get us a guide or act as our tour guide).
3)
Course
Your
carefully selected reading list for the trip includes interesting and many original
articles from the psychological thinkers whose sites we will visit. You are encouraged to read these articles
BEFORE you visit each site so that you will maximize the enjoyment you get out
of the site. Your journal assignment
(below) includes specific questions based on these readings. [Note: a * next to
a SITE listing in the itinerary = there is site-specific reading].
4)
Trip Journal
You
will be asked to keep a journal throughout the trip based on your
experiences. There will also be specific
“assignments” and questions based on readings to answer in your journal.
