What kinds of human activities are capable of driving species down to very small population sizes?

• over-harvesting (fishing, hunting, poaching...)

• habitat degradation (pollution...)

• habitat destruction & fragmentation

• also introduction of invasive exotic species (hard to do, but some means of controlling the invader necessary)

• and climate change (e.g. Polar bears - very very hard to do much about this one...)
