Dr. Sharon Sears is a Clinical Health Psychologist interested in how people optimize health and wellness. Her empirical research on integrative care will be published in Holistic Nursing Practice.
Most recently Dr. Sears is interested in how sensory-based movement practices such as dance may complement cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness meditation to nurture body, mind, and spirit health. Nia webpage
In providing clinical services, Dr. Sears has worked in hospice, oncology/hematology, inpatient psychiatry, and a university psychology clinic. She is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Colorado.
Dr. Sears received the New Faculty Teaching Award at Fort Lewis College.
