Welcome to my home page, located at Fort Lewis College, in Durango, Colorado. I am an instructor in the Agriculture and Biology Department . I teach Ag 101 (Introduction to Animal Science), AG 240 (Animal Nutrition), AG 325 (Beef Science), AG346 (Agricultural Marketing), and TS2T402 (Agricultural Issues in Society) and coordinate the FLC Swine Project. I have a dual appointment between Fort Lewis College and Colorado State University. This appointment with CSU allows me to work at the San Juan Basin Research Center (aka the "old fort") and coordinate student projects at this location.
I received my B.S. in Animal Science from The Ohio State University and my Masters in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Colorado State University. After teaching animal breeding courses and and managing the CSU Animal Science computer lab, we moved to Durango in 1990.
My husband Bill and I have two daughters. I also teach computer classes at Durango Computer Classroom and work as a computer consultant. In my spare time I have officiate high school, college and USA volleyball, helped organize the SnowDown Balloon Rally and work with 4-H to coach a Livestock Judging team.
